Changing one letter in a name can make all the difference. Even adding a letter to a name will create a totally new Destiny Vibration. It’s really not like including a new ingredient to a recipe. I liken it to creating a whole new dish, because, by changing or adding one letter, the resulting number vibration is a completely different ball of wax. A fascinating example is actor, producer, screenwriter and director Warren Beatty, who added a ‘T’ to his given name Warren Beaty. What a difference a T makes. It gave him the power and abundance befitting an executive. But first, let’s look at Beatty’s Life Purpose Number derived from his birthday. He has a 26/8 – the vibration of abundance and power. Beatty’s birthname, Henry Warren Beaty adds up to a 4 Destiny. 4 describes a steady worker, someone who is by nature cautious and enjoys order and stability. A conventional, conservative person who could be missing the intuitive link. So, you get the picture – this is a quiet person who enjoys steady growth and contemplation. It does not for one second describe the energetic and politically incorrect Warren Beatty. So what if he had gone by the name Warren Beaty, without the extra “T.” The destiny for that name would have described a counselor and teacher, someone who enjoys the sciences, the law and the military. Not quite the fit for Beatty. Now let’s look at the name with the T added. His chosen name, Warren Beatty, resonates to a 53/8. Immediately I noticed the root number 8 – it is a perfect match to his Life Purpose Number, also an 8. The 53 Destiny suits him to a tee. It describes a person who knows he has a lot to accomplish and for whom no effort is too great, no obstacle too difficult. He likes authority and knows how to assert it – if he’s not careful, he can come off as tyrannical. Another quality of this vibration is that no detail escapes his notice. Beatty is known to control Every facet of production, including cast, script and final cut of the film. He’s done this throughout his career. Even in the movie Bugsy, it was Beatty the producer who had final cut on the film, not Barry Levinson, the director. So, by changing his name from Henry Warren Beaty to Warren Beatty with the added ‘T’, he tapped into a powerful number – one that complements and supports his Life Purpose. Famous Scottish poet Robert Burns pulled a reverse Warren Beatty. He removed a letter from his birth name, which was Robert Burnes with an extra “E.” By removing the E Burns assured himself success. In fact, his new name added up to a 53/8, just like Beatty’s. And, believe it or not, he ALSO had a 4 Destiny with his given name, again, just like Beatty. These patterns have emerged over and over again in my 24 years as a Pythagorean Numerologist. Once you notice a pattern that works, as exemplified with the two above examples, it’s important to pay attention. Because numbers don’t lie. Most people know Magic Johnson’s story. There are certain symbols every culture recognizes. One of the most important is the checkerboard. You see it in the world of fashion and advertising. In auto-racing the black and white checkered flag is raised to signal ‘start your engines,’ after which it’s lowered to start the game of racing. Secret societies have used the checkerboard for eons to affect their consciousness as well as mass consciousness. Ancient symbols are used all the time in public rituals. However most people have no real knowledge that they are being used to open up portals of energy. Yesterday, I was reminded of this fact. I was in Charlotte, North Carolina to listen to my dear friend and author, Colette Baron-Reid. In her book, ‘Remembering The Future’, she mentions one mystical experience she had during which the ground underneath her feet looked similar to a checkerboard. I literally lunged forward as I was reading this and said out loud, "there’s a reason you saw that checkerboard!" It’s a symbol that has layers upon layers of meaningful information. The black and white checkerboard pattern is found on the floors of many old structures, such as those in the ruins of Pompeii. And on ceilings and walls of churches and mosques decorated in black and white. Have you ever noticed that the checkerboard is used inside the entrance foyers of state and federal buildings. Why is this? Numerologically the checkerboard has 64 squares. Six plus four equals 10 which is made up of the numbers 1 and 0. The Zero is a perfect geometric shape indicating perfection, eternity, wholeness and the center. It symbolizes heaven. Most ancient temples, cathedrals, mosques and other important government buildings symbolize heaven with a dome – thus bringing heaven to earth. You will often see circular zero patterns on tile floors and walls of religious buildings. The number 10 is about the endless energy and bounty of God. It is the number of power, determination and leadership. 10 reflects a progressive thinker who manifests. These 64 squares form an eight-sided design on a two-dimensional game-board used in our three-dimensional world. This is an important metaphor for creating energy in any reality. The alternating pattern of black and white triggers your mind to remember higher cosmic and spiritual laws. Laws that are implemented when you work with energy. Like two sides of every coin, these black and white squares symblize female and male polarities, negative and positive forces, night and day, zero and one, dark and light, and yin and yang. Take the local culture on the island of Bali, for example. They have long used the checkerboard pattern as a tool for balancing the forces of dark and light. Around the world, ancient power sites have calendars and computers made from stone based on the same principle – a stone and a space, a one and a zero, or white and black. Modern day computers are, of course, based on the exact same system of primary numbers or symbols, namely one and zero. Within the board there are more layers of codes. For example, the outer edge of every checkerboard is comprised of 28 squares. This corresponds to both the lunar and menstrual cycles – and also adds up to a 10. There’s an important aspect to your name that shows natural inclinations. It is one of the main considerations when contemplating a name change as well. Every name has a first and last letter. And odd-numbered names have a middle letter. These are called cornerstone, keystone and capstone. Let’s look at a client of mine who recently changed his name back to Douglas after being called Doug. Both begin with a D which is the 4th letter in the alphabet and the cornerstone. This letter looks almost a square and believes in a ‘square deal,’ Doug and Douglas is ‘fair and square,’ honest and expects the same in return. A strong foundation of security is important to a man with this name. Doug ends with the letter G, the capstone. But in the full name Douglas, G is now the center letter and becomes the keystone. That center letter is the pivot point helping him to carry out the initial action of the first letter D. Why is this good? Because G represents great analytical abilities and desire for perfection - G reflects on words, speaks little, and says much. It works best alone, needs time alone to think and to rest. The name Douglas ends with the letter S, the capstone. As the 19th letter, S is a self-starter and achiever. S is very creative and sets its sights high, for it is 1 and 9 striving for the perfection of 10. This often makes S the symbol of success. The S likes working alone and dislikes taking orders, because of knowing intuitively what must be done and is capable of doing it. So, you see the difference a name makes? Doug and Douglas both begin with the D but end on different letters. Plus Douglas has a keystone, or middle letter. The first name especially shows you what your unique tendencies are. Your family name shows the tendencies inherent in all the family members with that same last name. I have moved five times in the span of three years. Some of those homes I knew would temporary. But one of them was meant to be long term - and turned out to be the exact opposite. Here’s my story about when I turned a blind eye to Pythagorean Numerology – and suffered the resulting consequences. When choosing a place to live, your Life Purpose Number should be in Harmony or Compatible with our home’s street number and the city’s vibration. Well, I forgot that crucial piece of advice when my husband, daughter and I decided to move away from big city life in L.A. On the spur of the moment, we chose a house in a beautiful town in Vermont while we were performing at the Vermont Mozart Festival. We had no plans to even look in this part of the country – but things suddenly started happening fast. We bought the second home of three we saw that leisurely day. Celebrities and their relationships are intriguing, because they always confirm the powers of Pythagorean Numerology. When Tom Cruise recently married Katie Holmes, who is over 15 years his junior, many wrote off this supposedly lopsided relationship. They are wrong. I just took a look at their compatibility rating – and let me tell you, it is VERY good. Many people enjoy predicting doom for celebrity couples. Especially when it comes to Tom Cruise, who’s on his third marriage. I don’t make predictions about anyone’s life. I only let people know how their energies blend. Whether there’s too much of a clash or a beautiful mix of harmonious vibrations. Having said that, I would be surprised if Tom and Katie do ever break up.
