Over the 4th of July weekend I heard Sarah Palin had resigned as Governor of Alaska. With family in town and the Grand Canyon to explore, I filed it into the back of my mind.

The news caught many off guard.

At first hearing, I was taken aback too. And then I remembered Palin is in a 15/6 Personal Year in 2009.

First of all, that number is triggering her 24/6 Life Purpose. So it's a very important cycle for her.

Secondly, 15/6 cycles of any kind are often BIG turning points.

This means, for Palin it's a year of freedom, discernment - decisions and indecision - and all home and family related matters.

Often during 15/6  cycles radical change of lifestyle will happen to release you from present limitations. These changes help cement opportunities.

Additionally, freedom of expression is important for Palin this year. She even may change her views and form new beliefs. All of this will help her let go of past fears. Everything about this period is setting her free.

Sarah Palin has to make sure her new experiences aren't limiting her either. Laughing at her own weaknesses - and others' as well - is highly beneficial right now.

Anytime you experience a 15/6 Personal Month or Year, all of the above applies to you too.

I've had one 15/6 Personal Year in my life so far. It's the year I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. And yes it was a turning point in every way imaginable.

Since the root number for 15 is 6, this number covers home, parenting and family. So it's no surprise at all that Palin feels the urge to spend quality time with her loved ones this year.

I have a very important announcement about my upcoming coaching seminar in Sedona next month.

Let's look at the Letterman-Palin story first.

David Letterman and Sarah Palin have one thing in common - the number 12 - and that's pretty much all they share with each other.

Sarah Palin has a 12 current name and Letterman was born on the 12th. Since this number can indicate being a victim or victimizer, it's no surprise to me that the recent spat between these two directly tapped into this quality.

On top of that, Letterman has a triple 10/1 in his birth blueprint.

This makes him super ambitious, original, highly creative and independent. A triple 10/1 gives him a quick mind and the ability to manifest thoughts and actions with lightning speed. On the flipside, he can also be controlling and egotistical.

Let's add his name 'David Letterman' to the equation and a picture of a very complicated, brilliant man emerges.

That's because his name adds up to 13/4 - the genius number. He's definitely out-of-the-box in his monologues and prides himself on his unique and sarcastic sense of humor.

But a 13/4 current name also brings obstacles. It's a very powerful  number. If this power is used for selfish reasons, life can get challenging.

There's also a warning of the unknown and unexpected with the number 13 names. Since comedians thrive on surprising their audiences, this can be a plus on the one hand and a challenge when it comes to his life.

As for Sarah Palin, her 12 current name will place her in situations where she keeps feeling like a victim. When people with 12s - like Letterman and Palin interact, sparks can fly.

Both also happen to be in more emotional Personal Cycles this year, so their emotions may get stirred up more than usual in 2009.

Letterman has to be careful. 2009 is an 18/9 Personal Year for him. This means he needs to watch his health and get his environment in order. 9 cycles will always ask you to do a major spring cleaning in every part of your life.

He also must guard against achieving power by using divisive tactics.

That may be hard for someone like Letterman who thrives on edgy, no-holds-barred humor. But this year he has to watch it - especially when he really doesn't care for someone, like Sarah Palin. His emotions can override reason.

Palin too is experiencing a more emotional cycle in 2009 - she's in a 15/6 year. 15/6 symbolizes all issues related to home and family and explains why this recent story touched on sensitive family issues.

Both Palin and Letterman would benefit greatly from a slight respelling of their names.

Yesterday I hiked up a ridge close to where we live and met up with some friends. We talked about everything under the Arizona sun, including politics.

They're both not voting for either McCain or Obama, which made for a refreshingly calm conversation. I asked them whether they noticed how the latest polls are tightening up.

It doesn't surprise me to see this.

Everything about this election will be surprising. As to what those surprises will be - that's anyone's guess. Could be voting machine issues, overwhelming voter turnout problems, or a late-breaking 'story'.

The tightening of the race also means that both sides will hope for a win - and when the inevitable happens and one man is chosen - the emotional response  may be greater than ever before.

A lot of numbers are at play that day. Something I will get into in the near future.

Two weeks is a long time. One story could make a dramatic difference. That's certainly been the case lately. If you're a TV watcher, your nerves have clearly been on a roller coaster ride. The best suggestion - turn off the media as much as you can.

I hardly ever turn on the tv, so when I want to catch up I'll check my sources online.

Like this morning. I saw a clip of Sarah Palin's appearance on Saturday Night Live. Very funny. She was a good sport about it too.

Judging by the ratings, this SNL episode was the most watched show since 1994 when Nancy Kerrigan appeared after the whole Tonya Harding episode. I'm not sure what that tells you about the importance of SNL. But there sure is a love/hate relationship going on with Governor Palin.

Interestingly, Saturday was a great Personal Day for Palin. She's in a 6 Month and had a 6 Personal Day. Those tie directly into her Life Purpose is 24/6.

So she would have felt very comfortable in the limelight - even while being laughed at.

While I was being interviewed on a radio show late last night, Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama came up. 'Could you have foreseen this,' I was asked.

I said No. Because Powell's endorsement of McCain could have been just as likely.

McCain, Obama and Colin Powell have several numbers in common. In particular the numbers 4 and 29/11. I think, if Powell was in the running for a cabinet post, he would have been available to work in either of their administrations.

What WAS interesting though is Obama's Personal Day number yesterday. A 24/6 - which happens to be the same Personal Month Number he'll have in November.
