A new lunar cycle begins on SUNDAY April 27 with the TAURUS NEW MOON at 8:31 PM UT, 3:31 PM EDT, 12:31 pm PDT.

The Moon in exalted in Taurus!

Although we typically think of Taurus as being peace-loving and down-to-earth, this New Moon is a little more feisty.

  • At the time of the lunation, Sun and Moon are within only four degrees of being exactly square Mars and Pluto,
  • This reactivates and magnifies the effects of the Mars-Pluto opposition that was exact just 18 hours earlier on April 26 [TODAY].
  • Sun and Moon are square to Mars and square to Pluto creating a powerful, intense T-square.

In fact, Mars and Pluto are exactly opposite for the third time in six months.

This polarizing aspect between these two dynamic planets usually occurs only once every two years, but it is happening three times in 2024-2025 due to Mars having gone retrograde in December.

The first Mars-Pluto opposition occurred on November 3, the second perfected on January 2, and the third is exact on April 26.
